CONSISTENCY WHO

What is consistency?

Dictionary terms states- Consistency is the conformity in the application of something, typically that which is necessary for the sake of logic, accuracy, and fairness.

For simplicity terms- Consistency is what we do repeatedly to get a desired outcome.

Could be:

-Going to work everyday

-Going to bed every night

-Doing laundry

-Kids activities

-Brushing your teeth

-Taking the dog for a walk

But it can also be:

-Getting in daily steps

-Good quality sleep

-Eating a balanced diet

-Getting enough water

-Strength training and other workouts

I often get asked, "Amanda, I am doing all the right things but I am still not where I want to be. I don't know what to do."

Then I play a little devil's advocate (because I to, think that I am as consistent as I say I am)

If I asked you right now about the things you say you are doing consistently to reach your goals, are you actually doing them as consistently as you think that you are?

It's an opportunity to reflect and truly be honest with yourself.

It's going to come down to discipline, being honest with yourself, and setting goals you know you can accomplish. The goal isn't to fail, ever.

The goal is to always succeed.

The goal is to find ways that work for you.

The goal is to make sure it works long term and is sustainable for you.

I will ask you the same question I ask everyone else.

If I asked you to bet on you for 21 days to be consistent for 14 out of the 21, would you believe in you that you could do it? How are you going to feel if you hit these goals for 14 days or more?

Because you have to believe in yourself that you are worthy of the goals you have in place. You have to be willing to grow, do hard things, and be honest with yourself every step of the way.

Consistency is the hardest part of it all.

But don't overthink it.

Tell me your goals and all the things you are doing right and often and let's see where I can offer some advice and tips. Attached is a consistency calendar for you to use to track your consistency based on the goals you have in place. Remember, the more specific the goal the easier it is to be consistent.

Success is a series of small wins.

No more giving up.
